As we commit ourselves and our finances to St. Luke’s work through the Transformed campaign, let’s pray for our city and our church and each person we will impact. Leave your prayers in the comments section below.
Dear Lord,
What a privilege to participate with you to transform the city with the love of Jesus! I pray for the Community Center that is the center of our dream for the Sharpstown/Gulfton neighborhood. Would you bless each soul that enters the building that we can see even before it is built? Make your prescence know in healing at the health clinic. Transform loneliness to the comfort of community at reVision gatherings. May you be found and glorified in the youth worship space. Give healthy competition and camaraderie of sports in the gym and on the soccer field. Reign supreme in the kitchen as cohorts of young people learn the skills for life and work. We see the needs, and are so excited to meet them. Bless each young one with your love- from the babes at Small Steps to the graduates of PX Project. We thank you for the finances that you have given us to steward. We give them back to you, our Rock and Redeemer. Amen
Our most gracious heavenly father, we thank you for this day, we thank you for your son Jesus Christ, we thank you for your gift of the Holy Spirit, we thank you for St. Luke’s church and father we thank you for the city of Houston.
Father we ask you to continue blessing the work of St. Luke’s church in our community. Father you have shown us the needs and St. Luke’s is answering the call. We pray father that our financial goals be met in order that we can provide the needs of others.
It is in your Son’s holy and blessed name we pray, amen.

Dear Lord,
Please bring social justice and peace in our city among our diverse communities. Please let the church be a beacon of peace and where everyone in our communities feels welcome and loved. Let our students find wonderful friends here who accept them the way they are.
Dear Lord, help us to build in your name and bless all who will come. May they come to know you and may their lives be transformed by your love. Please use me as you would to help accomplish your mission. In Jesus’ name I Pray
Dear God, I pray that through St. Luke’s, those who come to the new community center will see the beauty of the world around them and be inspired by it, especially in the dark and difficult times.
Come, Holy Spirit, come! Use our gifts in your amazing ways to make Houston a peaceful and loving city where people find and share the light of Christ each day. Please show us the way to turn the tide in our city from secular to sacred through living and loving like Jesus and joining in God’s mighty acts. To God be the glory in the transformation of our lives and our city! In faith, hope, and love,
Amen
